👶 New Beginnings & Growing Families
This year was full of tiny toes, big personalities, and families who welcomed me into their world with open arms. I photographed newborns who slept like absolute angels and others who were determined to stay awake for every moment. Toddlers turned sessions into obstacle courses, sprinting, giggling, and keeping me on my toes in the best way. And the multi‑generation portraits? Those felt like living time capsules — the kind of images that become heirlooms, framed and cherished for decades.
✨ Limited Edition Sessions — Snuggles, Rivers & Fall Magic
My Limited Edition Sessions were some of the brightest highlights of 2025. The Snuggle Sessions brought soft blankets, warm tones, and families curled up together like they were starring in their own cozy movie scene. Kids loved the comfort, parents loved the simplicity, and I loved capturing every sweet, squishy moment.
The River Sessions were pure Pacific Northwest magic. Cool water, glowing sunsets, and families who weren’t afraid to splash, explore, and embrace a little adventure made these sessions feel like summer bottled up into a gallery.
Then fall arrived and put on a show. The Fall Sessions were filled with crunchy leaves, warm colors, and that perfect golden glow that makes every image look like a postcard. These sessions always book fast for a reason — they’re iconic, and this year was no exception.
🎅 Santa & Holiday Magic — In Studio
Nothing brings out pure chaos and pure joy quite like the holidays. This year, the Kayla J Photo studio transformed into a cozy winter wonderland, complete with twinkly lights, festive sets, and a Santa who honestly deserves his own fan club. Toddlers stared at him like he was a full‑blown celebrity, big kids whispered their wish lists with absolute seriousness, and parents tried — and failed — not to laugh behind me.
The holiday minis were just as magical. Cozy sweaters, warm vibes, and families creating the kind of photos that end up on every fridge, mantel, and holiday card across Greater Snohomish County made the season feel extra special. It was magical, messy, and absolutely perfect.

One of the biggest joys of 2025 was welcoming so many new clients into the Kayla J Photo family. From first‑time parents to small business owners needing fresh branding photos, this year brought a wave of new relationships that made my creative heart incredibly happy. Meeting new people and getting to tell their stories is one of my favorite parts of this job, and I can’t wait to see where these connections go in 2026.
